Our first ever “Faces of Fusion” Fashion Show was an enjoyable and well attended family event. After 5 weeks of fund-raising and braving the cold weather and rain, the Fashion Show was highly anticipated by all.
Seven very nervous youth took to the catwalk and modelled clothes from both Hand to Hand and Wombat Wardrobe. Despite their nerves, the young models did a great job and also gained confidence in the process.
Some of the outfits were stunning and did much to send the message that you can get some really nice, good quality clothes at op shops. There was even a wedding dress and attractive evening wear.
Bryanna and Jacqui sang beautifully, the band performed an amazing set and the MCs, Kev and Grace, kept us all entertained. Thanks to our sponsors, we also gave away some fantastic prizes to members of the audience.
Thanks to Hsu-Ann Lee who organised the event and oversaw everything, it all went without a glitch. Students from the Community Education Program hospitality stream (which is also run by Fusion Canberra) made some of the food.
Overall it was a lovely and enjoyable evening for both young and old.
