Today was Week 3 of Fusion Canberra’s pilot Community Education Program at our youth and community hub in Kambah.

It was an inspiring sight to see 5 high school aged young people engaged, connected and both being mentored but also mentoring others!

One of Fusion Canberra’s strategic focus areas is to “connect the generations through mutual mentoring” and this was being achieved today.

The students are from Namadgi School and Melrose High School and they are all making leaps and bounds in the competencies related to their work placement area.

They also spent the first 45 minutes of the day as a large group with their mentors looking at the topic “bridge building in relationships”.

We are hoping to find a funding source to ensure the ongoing sustainability of this program into the future so more young people can be impacted by similar mutual mentoring.
