Our Wombat Wardrobe team is planning a working bee this coming Friday 11th January from 9am at the shop in Kambah.
If you’re available to come and help for a few hours or all day you would be most welcome!

Thanks to Tim’s (one of our shift supervisors) vision for our back room we now have some changes both in the back room and out in the shop. Tim found a fabulous table at the Salvos and some wonderful shelving units at Bunnings. John Mann, our Business Manager, brought over a double rack from Hand to Hand (thanks Hand to Hand!) so the children’s clothes are on that, the skirts, trousers, women’s shorts and the jeans have all found new spots as well as the yellow shelves.
Here is a list of jobs we need to do on Friday morning.
I’ve probably missed some so let me know if anything important is missing. I will be there from 9am. It’s probably a good idea to bring rubber gloves but I think we have enough cleaning stuff.
Things to do: 11th January
- Decide what goes where on our new shelves!
- Clean fridge
- Vacuum behind/under shelves if possible and around windows
- Wipe clean all shelves and window ledges (be careful of broken glass on left hand side window)
- Sort bric-a-brac
- Tidy cupboard under the sink
- Clean windows inside and outside
- Take excess furniture out
- Take boxes and spare torsos to storage
- Sort shoes
- Put angle brackets on one cupboard – didn’t like the move! (Needs a drill.)
- Redo the curtain – Louise has kindly offered to hem the yellow curtain.
- Put up pinboard and white board – more drilling!
- Sort the staff belongings cupboard- be prepared to declutter!
- Refresh the jewellery
- Tidy register desk
