Last Friday a crowd of 30 or more people gathered outside Shop 27 at Kippax Fair Shopping Centre in Holt. It was a mixed crowd made up of customers, past volunteers, a local politician, and the pastor of the church who started Hand to Hand 22 years ago.
It was a very special time hearing a few words each from Pastor Peter Frogley, Mr Alistair Coe MLA and Brenton Reimann, Fusion Canberra’s CEO. Then Peg, our oldest volunteer, and Sam, our youngest volunteer, cut the ribbon and we all enjoyed cupcakes and a chance to grab a bargain.
