Mason Hudson, Youth Pastor at Eternity Church in Kambah, has taken on the coordination and oversight of our Melrose High School Breakfast Club on Tuesday mornings.

Mason, 21, leads the churches youth activities. On Friday nights, Eternity Youth sees on average 70-100 youth attend.

The future of Fusion’s Melrose High School breakfast club was in question at the end of last year when our Schools Worker, Mark, was moving interstate.

At that time Mark spoke with Mason who he knew through some other Fusion partnerships, and in the end Mason agreed to become a Fusion volunteer and take it on.

So the breakfast club continues with support from some local student helpers, some volunteers from local churches, and Fusion covering the costs of materials.

Providing breakfast to students along with a safe and supportive environment where adult volunteers can lend a listening ear is as important as ever. Each week we see between 100 and 120 students make use of this great free service.
