Gillian Uhle, one of our team members, has again travelled down south to be part of Fusion Southern Tasmania team as they reach out to thousands through the vehicle of the Hobart Show.

This is an update from Dave about Day 2 of the show, which is People’s Day!

“When we arrived this morning, after a night of rain, we were relieved to find the Marquee standing and intact!

What was clear is that we were in for a wet and quieter day. Bit of a shame as this was the day we have our largest team.

It was great to have a carload from Poatina come down, and some of the Seabrook Students back.

We did see our carnival children again and Kathy had a good talk with them, it was great to build on yesterday’s connection. Turns out the 12 yr old girl is the baby sitting for the 2 younger children and not an elder sister? We now have some names and insight to their world… complex. Pray for a little girl who misses her Dad and for his health to improve.

Today we had some families, stay at the site for literally hours. Some of these families come back each year, and talk of the significance of the activities.  One mother a spoke to said; – “The show is a little flat this year missing its spark probably due to the rain, but our kids will go home having had a good day because of the time they have had here”

Keep the tomorrow’s team in your prayers, less in number and dealing with 16 degrees & 90% chance of 5-10mm rain – so… Wet.  Pray that we keep our spirits up and be ready to keep connecting and building relationships.

Give thanks for a nice big tent that provides a welcome shelter out of the weather. Keep praying for safety as the marquee and equipment endure more rain.

Blessings, David”
