Today was week one of our Term 3 Community Education Program (CEP).
Held at Fusion Canberra’s youth and community hub at the Carleton St Shops, three high school students from our partner school, Melrose High School, got to know and work with five adult mentors and youth workers.
Two students started work in Fusion Canberra’s MAD workshop (Make A Difference) rebuilding and upcycling donated bikes.
One student started training as a Shop Assistant in our Wombat Wardrobe social enterprise.
The program runs for 6 weeks and we expect some more students to join in next week from Namadgi School.
For more information or to indicate your interest in being part of future programs please call Nigel at our office.
Another youth mentoring opportunity coming up is our annual Pilgrimage to Uluru on April 20 next year.
