Here at Fusion Canberra we consider Fusion Western Sydney as one of our long time and most valued partners in our vision to create a Canberra and world where nobody gets left behind.
They have supported Fusion Canberra in many ways from financial systems and bookkeeping, to video production, to providing their CEO, Dave Hammond, to speak at our annual Fundraising Dinner ever since its inception in 2010.
For more than 12 months now, they have been putting a lot of effort into developing a Podcast Network.
They are now up to about 12,000 downloads in total throughout approx 80 countries.
This on a steady monthly incline increasing each month by 200 to 300.
They are at present having just over 1000 downloads per month.
There is a lot of work involved but they and we really feel it’s worth while.
Fusion Western Sydney’s goal is to produce 10 podcasts every week on a variety of subjects. Youth Work, Case Work, PR and a few others.
Currently they have three podcasts:
They hope to one day build to 10,000 per week giving them a total of around 120,000 per year.
Should they reach this target it will have a significant ripple effect on their “Online Presence”.
Fusion Canberra would like to recommend their Podcast Network to you.
You do not to have to do anything to help unless you feel there is some benefit to you. This is important because unless the podcasts have value to you then they will not have much value to others and therefore won’t increase downloads.
You will notice there are sponsorship spots on each and while there is currently no money changing hands there will be potential for this if their downloads reach much higher numbers.
If you feel you want to participate in the promotion here are a few things you can do.
1. Subscribe to them yourself.
2. Suggest your work colleagues, church friends, mothers group etc subscribe.
3. Put the links on your Facebook form time to time with a few words of recommendation
4. Share the link to this story via email to your network.
5. Email Fusion Western Sydney if you have suggestions of podcasts or content you would like included.
6. Anything else you can think of.
We believe that Podcasting is a relatively cheap way to provide resource to the Fusion network.
It’s free which is fantastic and possibly even more importantly we are amassing a huge amount of content for now and into the future.
Latest news is that Fusion Western Sydney now has a Fusion iTunes Page so all you need to do is go to iTunes and search “Fusion Western Sydney” and all three podcasts will come up on the same page. You can even google “Fusion Western Sydney Podcasts” and you’ll get all 3 on the first search page.
Here are the links to a couple of PDFs describing how to subscribe to the podcasts including how to download free iPhone and Android Apps to do it.
