Fusion Op Shop Kambah (formerly Wombat Wardrobe) is one of our social enterprises designed to be a place of community connection.Initially commenced online on eBay for a couple years, in late 2009 we setup a small shop with some racks in our office hub behind the Carleton St Shops in Kambah.We stepped out in faith on 1st May, 2010, when we officially opened our first shop front at Shop 5 at the Carleton St Shops in Kambah.Opened by Senator Gary Humphries and a local young person, Sam, Fusion Op Shop Kambah has steadily become a community icon.On 19th August, 2014, we made the next important move for this social enterprise, and moved to Kambah Village between the Kambah Hair Centre and the Meatways Butcher. We also changed our name when we moved there, from Wombat Wardrobe to Fusion Op Shop as part of aligning all the branding of Fusion Australia’s op shops around the country.All profits from sales support Fusion’s valuable youth and community work locally in and around Canberra, and from time to time further afield in Australia and also overseas.Our dedicated and inspirational team of around 25 volunteers keep the doors open and serve all those who come in.

Kippax Op Shop

Fusion Op Shop Kippax (formerly Hand to Hand) is one of Fusion Canberra’s social enterprises setup to achieve multiple targets. Firstly this enterprise is designed to be a vehicle for building community spirit and the valuable connections we all need to have with others to lead a healthy and fulfilled life. Some people call these a type of social ‘glue’ that contribute to increasing our stocks of social capital.Our committed and inspiring Fusion Op Shop Kippax team exist to create a place where everybody who comes through the door are seen and valued and can form heart connections with others in the community.We also exist to provide good quality, affordable recycled clothes and bric-a-brac, books and electrical goods at very economical prices.The majority of profits from sales go towards supporting Fusion’s valuable youth and community work locally, with a small portion supporting Fusion’s work in NSW and nationally.Our Manager’s name is Diana, and over the course of a week we have more than 20 other team members (all volunteers) giving of their time to keep the doors open and the community connections continuing.
