Our third Friends of Fusion Fundraising Dinner is over for another year and it was a great success.
160 people attended and looking out over the room was such an encouraging sight.
Tim Gavel, ABC Sports Commentator, one of our guest speakers spoke really well with lots of laughs and encouraging feedback through the night.
Dave Hammond, CEO of Fusion Western Sydney, another of our guest speakers spoke well also, with a strong heart response from guests.
Performance students from Jerrabomberra Academy of Music, Claudia and Adrianne, did a fantastic job. Many comments from guests suggest they should apply for a TV talent show or two!
Katie Senior’s dance item “Angels” was a highlight. She danced to music from Thomas Aquinus’ 12th century hymn, Panis Angelicus which was just breathtaking.
The Silent Auction was our most successful yet. 31 items and we raised $4,060.
We are still tallying response forms and donation pledges but it seems like they at least total $7,000 from the night.
So far that means we’ve raised at least $21,000. And it isn’t even 12 hours since we finished!
Our appeal is still open though, so we urge you to give a donation towards our target of $40,000.
Thankyou to all who attended on the night, all the businesses who supported the night with sponsorship, auction items, etc. Thanks to all the table hosts and the Southern Cross Club Woden staff who were just fantastic.
Above is a very good description. Proud to be aprt of Fusion and dinner. Very successful night. All song and dance were fgreat. After listening Claudia’s song ‘go blind’ I just can’t explain how she took us away somewhere else. Still her song reflecting to my ear and mind. Must go for Australian voice competetion. All the best.
Thankyou Archana. It was a great night wasn’t it? Thanks for making the effort to be there and bring your husband. Cheers.
It was a fantastic evening with wonderful, insightful speakers; great company; lovely food and an all round great atmosphere! Well done to all. I fell blessed to be a part of giving Hope to the community of Canberra. Kristelle
Yep, lets all keep doing our bit to create a Canberra where no-body gets left behind. Thanks Kristelle for your part in that.
