It is now 3 months since Fusion Op shop opened at the Kambah Village after moving from the Carleton St Shops.

Some things never change and that is the ladies are still having as much fun as before the move.

They are still creating a very happy and joyful atmosphere, sometimes full of laughter, other times a tad serious  but never a dull moment.

“We get a lot of positive comments and people are happy that there is an op shop in this shopping complex”  said assistant manager Lyn Waldron.

“Some of our customers followed us from the old Wombat Wardrobe and we are attracting lots of new customers.” she said.Fusion Op shop2

“People come in and are surprised that they can buy items for next to nothing”  said one volunteer.

“People are discerning here. Good quality things don’t hang around for very long.” said another volunteer.

“We are getting lots of community support through donations of clothes, bric-a-brac, books etc” said Lyn.

“We are settling in really well but we need more volunteers” she said.

Gillian Uhle who is also assistant manager said “We are very lucky to have Lyn because she has worked really hard to make this place very comforting and welcoming”.

“To me, it doesn’t feel much different to the old Wombat Wardrobe” said Gillian.
