A first ever of it’s kind, the Lyons Community Easter Festival on Saturday 5 April, 11-3pm, will be when the Churches of the Canberra suburb of Lyons work together in a way they haven’t done before.
Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lyons Church of Christ, Chinese Methodist Church, Independent Samoan Church, and St Albans Anglican Church will all be pooling their people and resources to put on this FREE community festival to celebrate the true meaning of Easter at the Lyons Neighbourhood Oval.
The organising team made up of representatives from all 5 churches has been meeting now since June last year. In all they have met 8 times, plus Fusion Canberra ran a training day on 22 February as part of preparing to get ready for the day.
Please come on down and enjoy the day. There will be sausage sizzle, refreshments, face painting, jumping castle, Easter craft activities, tug-o-war, water balloon volleyball, Chinese food stall, Samoan food stall, Toddler Play Area, Chess Tent, Seed planting stall and much much more!
