The Reimann family from Bonython, a southern suburb of Canberra, has greatly appreciated the advice provided by John Brummell from Fusion Canberra’s Sustainability Education Centre.
The family of 5 moved to Bonython from Kambah in November 2012, and didn’t want to miss the summer growing season for vegetables. John and a small team from our Sustainability Education Centre assisted in planning, preparing, setting up and planting out of their new vegetable patch in early December.
“We were able to get our vegies planted out the day before going interstate for the Christmas break. It was such a relief to have John and the team on board. We just wouldn’t have gotten the garden up and going this summer without them”, says Mr Reimann.
This is all part of our Sustainability Education Centre’s vision to help create a Canberra and world where nobody gets left behind by encouraging ordinary Aussie’s to find practical answers to the question “How can we do life more sustainably?”.
