Last Saturday 7th December, 30 youth and leaders converged on Honey Suckle Creek Campground in Namadgi National Park for Fusion Canberra’s last Breakout Youth Adventure Daytrip for the year.
This was part of the NERF GAMES II: ZOMBIES REVENGE Breakout Daytrip.
It was a fantastic day! Perfect weather and sun burns were kept to a minimum 🙂 The highlight for most were the Zombie games and most gave the day a 8 or 9 out of 10 on their feedback sheet at the end of the day.
Some feedback from participants included that the zombies be in makeup and costume next time.
One leader thought the Zombies were terrifyingly realistic. The police even did a drive by to check all was well.
A Fusion volunteer, Jason, shared some of his own story with the group and this had a real impact. Some of the responses to Jason’s story included that is was “touching”, “moving” and “inspiring”.
Next year’s program for Breakouts is more full and exciting than ever. We have a Beach Bash, more NERF GAMES, the Uluru trip, a Snow day, and a Caving day all planned plus more.
